PRYC TOP's - 23rd October

PRYC TOP's - 18th October

Sadly a very small fleet of only 5 boats enjoyed a great day of top of A (mainly) breezes, which eventually settled before kick off, out of the South East; all enjoyed the slightly further afield location "around the bend", the extra yards of trailer pushing proving to be well worth while.

Again this week, supporting the idea to develop skills when we have a smaller turn out, the day was sailed in entirely "scratch" format with great success and minimal issues. Most of the problems arose from unsolicited nose diving/broaching on some of the long runs down wind when the heavier gusts kicked in. As a result fortunes over the finish line changed rapidly and regularly.

For those who couldn't make it due to other commitments (get your priorities right!), you sadly missed another great day's sailing in top conditions - hope to see the fleet back up to full strength soon and we look forward to the regulars returning ASAP.

Many thanks to Frank for PRO and course setting - suffering from withdrawal symptoms whilst boat in hospital? Must be because he was seen sailing 78 and 98 briefly today.
